Hello and a very warm welcome to my website!

If you are trying to conceive or are already pregnant, you’ve come to the right place!

I’ve been a professional reflexologist for over 20 years, offering Maternity Reflexology and Reflexology for Fertility at my practice in north Essex.

My tranquil therapy room is situated in peaceful countryside, just four miles from Saffron Walden and close to the border with South Cambridgeshire. It is easily reached from Stansted, Bishops Stortford, Thaxted, Great Dunmow, Haverhill and Cambridge and parking is available right outside.

I am passionate about working with clients to optimise their chances of conception and ensure that they have the best possible pregnancy and birth experience...

  • Pre-conceptual reflexology treatments may help relieve symptoms of stress and diminish the production of hormones, such as cortisol, which can be detrimental to the reproductive process. They may also help ease muscular tension and encourage the natural balancing of the entire endocrine system.

  • Reflexology has been shown to encourage a more restful sleep pattern and may also help lift low mood..

  • Reflexology sessions may help relieve the anxiety associated with ART procedures, such as IVF and provide support throughout your journey. Many clients find their sessions invaluable to help them cope with each stage of the process and reducing stress may help improve the chances of a successful outcome!

  • Reflexology treatments during pregnancy are a nurturing experience and may help ease many common discomforts of pregnancy, including nausea, morning sickness, constipation and heartburn.

  • Reflexology sessions will allow time for you to relax and connect with your little one and help prepare you, both physically and emotionally, for labour.

  • Postnatal reflexology sessions may help restore natural balance to your body and mind after birth and provide you with some soothing, much needed 'you time'!

    Maternity Reflexology

Over the past eighteen years as a Maternity Reflexologist, I feel very privileged to have supported hundreds of expectant mums throughout their pregnancies and I am extremely passionate about helping every woman to have the the best pregnancy and birth experience possible!

The pregnancy reflexology service I offer means that I see clients from Saffron Walden and the surrounding areas of Essex, South Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire too.

How can reflexology help during pregnancy?

When you find out that you are expecting, you may be surprised at just how exhausted you feel... This often happens very early in pregnancy and can be very difficult - especially when you are struggling to cope with work and/or already have a little one to look after. You may also have started to experience some other common symptoms including:

    • Morning Sickness and nausea
    • Back pain
    • Heartburn
    • Constipation

    • Fluid retention
    • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
    • Hyperemesis
    • Pelvic Girdle Pain

As your body will be going though huge changes over the next few months, it’s sensible to give yourself permission to rest and recharge your batteries whenever you can!

Reflexology treatments may help ease many pregnancy discomforts and will encourage deep relaxation - enabling you to ‘switch off’ and have some quiet time with your baby - and they’ll also soothe your body and mind too.

As your pregnancy progresses, treatments may become even more beneficial and help prepare you - both physically and emotionally - for the arrival of your little one.

    Reflexology for Fertility

I’ve been working with couples planning to start a family and those who’ve encountered fertility issues, for many years. And I’ve been thrilled that by making lifestyle changes and using reflexology to reduce stress, many have had a happy outcome.

    • Pre-conceptual reflexology sessions may help enhance your emotional wellbeing and benefit your overall health, which may boost the chances of natural conception.

    • Sessions may help ease symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis, which could be contributing to fertility issues.

    • Reflexology sessions may help establish or regulate your menstrual cycle, following oral/implant contraceptive use.

    • Reflexology will support you through Assisted Conception and will encourage relaxation at the deepest level. It may help relieve feelings of anxiety and help reduce stress hormones, to optimise your chances of success.

Short film - A woman's experience of how Reflexology helped with Unexplained Infertility

"I can't thank you enough for helping me with my fertility journey - both the reflexology and the long chats were absolutely invaluable and I doubt Jemima would be here if I hadn't come to see you for treatment."

    Reflexology for Wellbeing

Reflexology is a gentle holistic therapy that provides an antidote to the stresses and strains of our busy lives...

Treatment sessions encourage relaxation at the deepest level and are a pleasurable and pampering experience. Reducing the symptoms of stress will improve your quality of life - potentially leading to enhanced sleep, a lift in mood and an enhanced sense of wellbeing.

As a Women’s Health specialist, I have often seen how reflexology can help regulate the menstrual cycle, ease symptoms of PMT and balance hormones naturally.

If you are approaching Menopause you may have started to experience troublesome symptoms, such as hot flushes, mood swings, loss of libido...

Why not let reflexology support you throughout this transition? Treatments could help reduce your symptoms, enabling you to cope better - indeed some of my clients have reported an increase in their energy levels and a renewed zest for life!

There are many health conditions that respond well to reflexology, but here are just a few:

    • Stress
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • Back and muscular pain
    • Menstruation problems (irregular periods, PMS, hormone imbalance)
    • Digestive discomfort (including IBS)
    • Insomnia

"I’ve been seeing Clare for reflexology for several years now and can highly recommend. Not only is it the most relaxing treatment, but Clare is such a lovely calming person & has really helped me. ”

    Caroline P., Saffron Walden
