Reflexology for Saffron Walden, Essex and Cambridgeshire, Maternity and Fertility Reflexologist

Hello and welcome to my website.

For the past nine years I have been working as a qualified reflexology practitioner, providing general reflexology for many different health conditions and specialising in maternity and fertility reflexology. As a reflexologist with a busy practice, I treat many women who are planning to start a family and those who are having difficulty conceiving - helping them to optimise their fertility. I work with expectant mums throughout pregnancy, and over the years I have been able to use the specialised therapy of maternity reflexology to effectively treat many of the conditions that can arise at this time. I am an Assistant Maternity Reflexology Tutor, teaching qualified reflexologists on training courses around the UK.

I belong to the following associations:

  • Member of the Association of Reflexologists
  • Member of the Complementary Therapists' Assocation
  • Registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council

My practice is siuated in a tranquil rural location just outside Saffron Walden in north Essex, within easy reach of Great Dunmow, Bishops Stortford, Haverhill, Braintree, Linton, Sawston, Great Shelford and the surrounding areas of South Cambridgeshire. Location map

  • Fertility reflexology

Fertility reflexology is a gentle therapy that can help ensure your mind and body are in the best possible condition prior to conception.

The hormone balancing effects of fertility reflexology may help if you are suffering from a condition that could be affecting your fertility, such as Endometriosis or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The relaxing benefits of the therapy may also help if you are experiencing unexplained infertility or secondary infertility, and the ability to relieve the stress and anxiety that may be felt at this time should not be underestimated. Regular reflexology treatments, together with some lifestyle changes, may greatly improve your chances of a successful outcome. Fertility reflexology can also help prepare and support you through diagnostic medical investigations - ensuring that you are in optimum condition if you decide to opt for assisted conception programmes, such as IVF.

"I was on Clomid for a bit, which I found to be a nightmare and was starting to get very down about not being able to conceive... I truly believe that if you had not treated me then I would still be trying now... I can't thank you enough for all those afternoons of treatment, not just the reflexology but also for listening to me and advising me and stopping me from going mad!"

    Maternity reflexology

Maternity reflexology can support you throughout your pregnancy and help prepare you for the birth of your baby. Specialised techniques will encourage you to relax and help ease the uncomfortable symptoms that you may be experiencing at this time including morning sickness, heartburn, insomnia and back pain. Regular treatments can also help alleviate troublesome conditions of pregnancy including Hyperemesis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Pelvic Girdle Pain (also known as Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction or SPD).

My experience as a maternity reflexologist has been enhanced by working on a voluntary basis within a hospital maternity unit and I have used reflexology to treat many women during labour. I also maintain close links with community midwives in the areas surrounding my practice.

If you have gone beyond your expected 'due date' and your baby has still not arrived don't panic! Maternity reflexology can be very effective at promoting deep relaxation and I use specialised techniques to encourage the onset of labour.

"Just wanted to thank you for the reflexology session you performed on Thursday evening. Due to your 'magic hands' I went into labour at 5am Friday and gave birth at 9am to a little boy, Zac Alfie, weighing in at 9lb 2oz and all is well".

Specialising in maternity and fertility reflexology

I work closely with another reflexologist, Val Groome, who has a practice near Southend-on-Sea. Val offers pre-conception, pregnancy and post-natal reflexology, as well as treatments for general conditions, for those living in South Essex. Val also runs regular maternity reflexology courses around the UK.

Together we provide a specialist maternity and fertility reflexology service for Essex and south Cambridgeshire.
