Reflexology in Saffron Walden, Maternity and Fertility Reflexologist for Essex and Cambridgeshire
Hello and a very warm welcome to my website.
I am a reflexologist with fifteen years experience of providing the healing benefits of this wonderful therapy to clients in Saffron Walden, Essex and the surrounding areas of Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
I have specialised in women's health issues for many years - including pregnancy, fertility issues and the menopause and also have a particular interest in stress related conditions. As reflexology is a holistic therapy, I believe that the 'whole' person needs to be balanced (physically and emotionally) to achieve optimum health, and therefore lifestyle factors need to be considered and form a crucial part of each and every treatment plan.
I am a Member of the Association of Reflexologists and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I am also on the NHS Choices Register.
My practice is located in a tranquil rural location, just outside Saffron Walden and Thaxted, yet within easy reach of Cambridge, Haverhill, Great Dunmow, Braintree and Bishops Stortford. Location map
The gentle holistic therapy of reflexology provides an antidote to the stresses and strains of our busy lives. Treatment sessions will encourage relaxation at the deepest level and are a pleasurable and pampering experience. Reducing stress and increasing relaxation may lead to an improvement in your quality of life - including better sleep and a renewed sense of wellbeing.
You may be approaching the menopause and have started to experience some troublesome symptoms. Reflexology may help alleviate some of these and help balance your hormones in a natural way, which may also lead to an increase in your energy levels.
Many other common health complaints may respond well to reflexology including:
- back and muscular pain
- menstruation issues (such as PMS and hormone imbalance)
- digestive disorders (including IBS)
- sleeping difficulties/insomnia
I have been a maternity reflexologist for many years and feel privileged to have been able to support so many expectant mums throughout their pregnancies. Specialised treatment sessions are offered at my practice, with clients coming from the local area surrounding Saffron Walden and further afield from south Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
You may be experiencing the following common symptoms of pregnancy:
- morning sickness and nausea
- back pain
- fluid retention
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- pelvic girdle pain
In previous years I have assisted on maternity reflexology training courses around the UK and have also worked on a voluntary basis within a hospital maternity unit. I continue to maintain links with the community midwives in the areas surrounding my practice.

Reflexology for fertility issues
I have been treating those planning to start a family, or trying to conceive, for many years, and have seen how sensible lifestyle choices and regular treatment sessions may lead to a happy outcome.
- Pre-conceptual treatments may enhance your fertility and ensure you are in the best physical and emotional condition to optimise your chances of conception.
- Reflexology may help ease symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis - perhaps contributory factors if you are experiencing fertility problems.
- Treatments may encourage regulation of the menstrual cycle following long-term oral contraceptive use.
- Treatments can also support those undergoing Assisted Conception - helping to relieve anxiety and decrease the production of stress hormones, as well as encouraging relaxation at the deepest level.

Whilst I do appreciate that emergencies crop up from time to time and appointments have to be cancelled, please be aware that I do reserve the right to charge £20.00 per missed appointment with less than 24 hours notice. Whilst these policies are not nice to enforce, they are a necessity to ensure all my business running costs are still covered despite the income lost from a cancelled appointment. Thank you.
